The Challenge
NYRR needed a centralized resource management platform to handle event registration, volunteer management, on-demand bib assignment, and customer service across all operations.
The Solution
F.R.E.D. (For Runners Everywhere Database) served as the backbone for IT operations, managing event registration, volunteer coordination, Marathon Expo operations, and customer service. Key initiatives included transitioning to Stripe for payments, implementing CI/CD processes, migrating infrastructure to Azure, expanding API capabilities for mobile apps, and integrating with Sitecore systems.
My Role
As Project Manager, handled requirements gathering from stakeholders, sprint planning and execution, budget planning and financial oversight for $3M annual vendor budget, and ensured system evolution matched organizational needs.
